The Non Ionising Radiation SIG has a broad remit, covering ultrasound (both diagnostic and therapeutic applications) and non-ionising radiations such as lasers and ultraviolet radiation.

Very few people have experience in all of these fields so currently we have a wide mix of members each with knowledge of one or more of them.

We meet at least three times a year and stay in contact in between as necessary. Our remit is to share our knowledge and experience of quality control and safety issues in the ultrasound and non ionising radiation fields.
