The Irish Association of Physicists in Medicine celebrated its
formation and officially launched the new organisation at a special
event on Thursday 26th May 2011 at the Royal Irish
Academy. The Association was delighted to welcome two eminent physicists to speak at the launch.

6.30pm – Welcome and Introduction, Fintan Bradley
6.45pm – Prof. George Walmsley MRIA “Scientific professional associations and learned societies – what can they contribute?”
7.15pm
– Prof. Peter Mitchell MRIA “Learned societies, professional
associations and the fruits of curiosity - some reflections”
8.00pm – IAPM EGM
